Nigerian singer-songwriter Wizkid has released a highly anticipated new EP named "S2 (SoundMan Vol. 2)".

Lagos superstar Wizkid turned in this celebratory EP right on cue for the city’s famed party season in December 2023—just as he did in 2019 with SoundMan, Vol. 1.

This four-track sequel bears all the hallmarks of Wizkid’s global explosion since 2020, with traces of previous sun-dappled hits “Essence” and “Ginger” in midtempo production that’s infused with his native Yoruba and backed by handpicked features.

The slick shakers and basslines of amapiano carry opener “Ololufe”, featuring former mentor Wande Coal, but it’s the fierce back and forth with Zanku Records boss Zlatan (on “IDK”) that delivers the best pairing for Wizzy.

The track blends gospel and Afro-jazz, embodying the energy that has allowed the Afrobeats star's sound to dominate party scenes worldwide.
